I am an ex smoker of over 20 yrs. Sadly, I first picked up a cigarette when I was 11 yrs old on a dare from my older sister. I wasn’t totally hooked until I was about 15 but that’s neither here nor there. I am now 36 and a mother of 2.

A couple years ago I was at a kids birthday party for my husbands friends daughter. She had a bounce house and everything. When I went looking for Paul (my husband’s friend) I found him hiding behind the bounce house, vaping. I said “hey, whatcha doin?”. I had never seen/heard of vaping before so he explained it to me. When I returned home, I couldn’t get vaping off my mind so I looked into it. Now, Paul was vaping on a Juul but when I came across all the different device options, the refillable pods, etc… I became very intrigued.

At that point, smoking cigarettes was becoming more n more of a drag (no pun intended) for me. I hated sitting outside on my porch while my neighbors judged me or took it as an opportunity to strike up a conversation. I hated when it was cold out. I hated having to take smoke breaks at work and returning to customers smelling like an ashtray. I hated the fact that I knew it affected the quality of my hair and skin and probably sped up my early signs of aging. I hated the expense!

Enter, the practicality and solution to all those problems: vaping.
Now, don’t get me wrong, at first it was costly and discouraging. Transitioning involves a lot of trial and error bc there’s a lot to learn and every vaper is unique. I truly didn’t know if I could do it but I was determined.

I have been cigarette free since Oct 1st 2018. I quit cold turkey. No cheating, not even a puff. Only vaping. I love it.
